With performance tunes and features engineered for added power and functionality, the Jeep Flashpaq has become the "people's champ" when it comes to a performance upgrade for any TJ and JK Wrangler. The Flashpaq for Jeep is the industry-leading performance programmer for Jeep Wrangler TJ and JK models. Īnd now to hear we are to be cheated out of this. all brought for Engine Diagnostics ability. and of course the Flashpaq 3872 programmer. Hasco stroker short block, roller cam and lifters, viper throttle body, super charger injectors. I pay 357.00 dollars for my programmer and I brought if just for these tool for my Modified 3.8 Hasco engine I built. so perhaps the now will limit our access to what systems information we can use. What might be happening is other vendor are complaining that with this programmer and the performance mod's we make they feel cheated. įor me it was for my injectors and what they were doing and what happen when I installed new injector with a higher PPM. and so maybe they feel they are giving away to much. Nothing better than plugging it in and driving around watching systems work and performance changes. I agree with you, for me too it important to monitor my engine functions it helps us see and understand the changes and how it affect the changes we have made. Thank You For the Heads Up, I'll be sure to never update mine. This is called forced upgrades and is not cool at all. These are gone if you update which I am sure they are waiting for your dumb self to do so you are then gonna be forced to buy the latest device which - they confirm- will still display this information fine! So, I left them taking note to be pleasant yet make sure they knew I would bring this up on the forums as I cannot be the only person to have bought the model Flashpaq 3872 and make use of the data logging features. I also told him to think about it and did not it seem like said bovine cr*p ? End quote.ĭakota at support (nice enough not his fault) acknowledged all of this even after checking with ' the engineer' ( I never got to speak to this Wizard of Oz) stating that this sounded fishy when I told him I work with code and devices for my career and this is, if he'd pardon me, bullsh*t. ) so if you wish to keep this ability, do NOT upgrade because that will revise the firmware and as a consequence, and I quote: " The new files that have the ECU info from Jeep that we send out are so large that those devices do not have the ram to display that information any longer.". I also will note that he had not heard of this yet, checked with the 'engineers' & to be certain, Superchips verifies that they pushed out an update ( version 3.8.5 up to newest available via that Spark updater tool and where you can purchase this feature if you have the flashcal, i think- mine came with it. I took the liberty of letting the representative today hear how large an issue this is for some of us. These were part of the reason I bought this device. There was an entire slew of system functions that you could monitor via this device that cost between $200 and $400. This is not a small issue for any of us that actually use the information PIDs and monitor things like temp of engine air or coolant, Idle Air Temp, CAT and spark knock retardation, EGR or emissions, AUTO TRANSMISSION FLUID TEMP, etc. I feel very wronged by Superchips, as well. I do not have autometer gauges on my JK right now. I used this all the time to check various temperature related components. & there is no longer the *Additional Feature >Data Logging in the device menu.
